Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got into your role / in the construction marketing industry?
My professional background is rooted in e-commerce, where I gained hands-on experience running my own online businesses and developing a comprehensive understanding of the entire e-commerce cycle, beyond just paid media. Over the years, I’ve managed hundreds of accounts across platforms like Google, TikTok, and Meta, honing my expertise in digital marketing strategies. While construction wasn’t initially my area of focus, I was drawn to Tradectory for the opportunity to work on larger-scale accounts and broaden my skill set within a new and dynamic industry.
What do you enjoy most about working in construction digital marketing?
I have a personal passion for working with my hands and a strong appreciation for tools of all kinds. This connection allows me to deeply relate to the construction industry and its audience. What I enjoy most about working in construction digital marketing is the opportunity to collaborate closely with an industry I genuinely understand. Being part of the target market myself gives me unique insights into what resonates with the audience, enabling me to create more impactful and relevant strategies.
What is a project you’re most proud of and why?
A project that stands out for me is our work with Refina. Despite facing pricing challenges, we successfully exceeded their e-commerce expectations. This achievement reflects the strength of our strategy, our ability to adapt, and our commitment to delivering exceptional results, even in competitive circumstances.
How do you stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in both construction and digital marketing?
My passion for hands-on work and interest in cars naturally align with the construction industry, as much of the content I engage with is directly relevant. To stay updated on paid media, I actively participate in webinars and listen to industry-leading podcasts. This helps me stay informed about the latest trends, strategies, and tests being utilised by other experts in the field.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to a construction company looking to improve its digital presence?
My advice would be to adopt an omnichannel approach and ensure your brand has a presence wherever your customers spend their time. Consistent and strategic repetition across multiple platforms helps keep your brand top of mind, increasing the likelihood that customers will choose you when they're ready to make a purchase.
